Selectel Wireless Call Forwarding Codes & AI Scam Screening | Gini Help

Selectel Wireless is an MVNO — it does not run its own towers, it resells the Verizon network. That matters for call forwarding: you use Verizon's codes, not a Selectel Wireless-specific one, and Selectel Wireless support often will not know them.

To turn screening on, dial *7214149854464 from your Selectel Wireless phone and press call. Wait for the confirmation tone before hanging up — Verizon does not show a dialog.

To turn it off at any time, dial *73. Your Selectel Wireless service is unchanged either way — forwarding only redirects calls you do not answer to Gini's screening line at +1 (866) 446-GINI.

If you would rather only forward some calls: *9014149854464 forwards when you are on another call, *9114149854464 when you do not pick up, and *9214149854464 when your phone is off or out of service.

Verizon uses CDMA-style codes, so there is no # at the end and no confirmation dialog — listen for the tone instead. If you previously used a GSM code like *21*, it will not work on Verizon.

Once forwarding is on, Gini answers unknown callers before your Selectel Wireless phone rings, asks who is calling and why, and only puts real people through. Anyone already saved in your contacts rings straight through as normal.

Common questions

What is the call forwarding code for Selectel Wireless?

*7214149854464 turns forwarding on and *73 turns it off. Selectel Wireless uses Verizon's CDMA codes because it runs on the Verizon network.

Does call forwarding cost extra on Selectel Wireless?

Forwarding to a domestic number is included on Selectel Wireless plans. Gini's screening line is a US number, so there is no per-minute or long-distance charge from Selectel Wireless.

Will I still get calls from people I know on Selectel Wireless?

Yes. Contacts saved in your phone ring through as normal. Only unknown numbers are screened first.
