Connect your Outlook, Hotmail, or Live email during setup to protect against phishing scams.
During Initial Setup
When you reach the Email Protection step in the Gini walkthrough:
- Tap Outlook from the list of email providers
- You'll see Microsoft's sign-in screen
- Enter your Outlook/Hotmail email address
- Tap Next
- Enter your password
- Tap Sign in
- Review the permissions and tap Accept
- You're connected!

- @hotmail.com
- @live.com
- @msn.com
Skipped It? No Problem
If you skipped email setup during the walkthrough:
- Open Gini Help
- Tap Settings at the bottom
- Tap Email Protection
- Tap Outlook
- Follow the Microsoft sign-in steps above
What You'll See
Once connected:
- A green checkmark appears next to Email Protection
- Gini starts scanning your inbox immediately
- Phishing alerts appear when threats are detected
