VIP contacts (also called your Allow List) are people whose calls always ring through without screening. Add your most important contacts to make sure you never miss their calls.
Who Should Be a VIP?
- Family members (spouse, children, parents)
- Close friends
- Your doctor's office
- Your workplace
- Anyone you always want to hear from
Adding a VIP Contact
Method 1: From Settings
- Open Gini Help
- Tap Settings at the bottom
- Tap Call Protection
- Tap Allow List or VIP Contacts
- Tap Add Contact or the + button
- Enter the phone number
- Add a name (optional but helpful)
- Tap Save
Method 2: From a Screened Call Notification
When you receive a notification about a screened call:
- Tap the notification to open call details
- Look for Add to Allow List or Make VIP
- Tap it to add that caller as a VIP
- Future calls from this number will ring through
Method 3: Import Your Phone Contacts
Add many VIPs at once by importing contacts:
- Go to Settings > Call Protection
- Tap Import Contacts
- Select the contacts you want as VIPs
- Tap Import
What Happens After Adding a VIP
- Their calls ring through directly to you
- No screening, no delay
- They can leave voicemail on your regular voicemail (not Gini)
- You can remove them from the list anytime
Removing a VIP Contact
- Go to Settings > Call Protection > Allow List
- Find the contact you want to remove
- Swipe left (iPhone) or tap and hold (Android)
- Tap Remove
After removal, calls from that number will be screened by Gini.
