How Signing In Keeps Your Account Secure

Gini Help does not use passwords. You sign in with your phone number and a 6-digit code we text you.

There is nothing to enable and nothing to configure. This protection is on for every account, always.

Why This Is Safer Than a Password

A password can be guessed, reused across sites, phished out of you by a fake email, or leaked in someone else's data breach. Most account takeovers start there.

Signing in with a code sent to your phone means someone would have to have your actual phone in their hand to get into your account. Knowing your name, your email, or your phone number is not enough.

This matters here more than most places. Gini can see who called you and what your messages say, so the account is worth protecting properly.

How Signing In Works

  1. Open the app and tap Sign In
  2. Enter your phone number
  3. We text you a 6-digit code
  4. Enter the code

That's it. You stay signed in on that phone — you only do this again on a new phone, or if you sign out.

If You Get a Code You Didn't Ask For

Never share it with anyone, and do not enter it anywhere except the Gini app.

A code arriving out of the blue means someone typed your phone number into a sign-in screen. The code alone is what stops them, so as long as you don't pass it on, your account is fine.

Nobody from Gini Help will ever call or text you asking for a sign-in code. Anyone who does is running a scam. This is one of the most common scams there is, and it works by sounding urgent and official.

If it keeps happening, email help@ginihelp.com and let us know.

Changing Your Phone Number

Your phone number is how you sign in, so changing it takes a moment of care.

Contact help@ginihelp.com before you give up the old number if you can — we can move your account across. If you have already lost access to the old number, tell us and we will verify you another way.

If You Can't Get Your Code

  • Wait a full minute. Texts occasionally take a moment.
  • Check the number you typed, including the area code.
  • Tap Resend and use the newest code — they expire after a few minutes.
  • Make sure your phone has signal.

If you still cannot get in, email help@ginihelp.com with the phone number on the account.

Accounts Created With an Email and Password

If you signed up a long time ago, before we moved to phone sign-in, your account may still have a password. You can use Sign in with email instead at the bottom of the sign-in screen.

Signing in by phone number works on those accounts too, and is the better option.
