Understanding Weekly Protection Reports

Each week, Gini sends you a summary of how you've been protected. Here's how to read and use this report.

What's in Your Weekly Report

Your report includes:

Calls Screened

  • Total number of calls Gini screened this week
  • How many were identified as spam or scams
  • How many were legitimate

Emails Analyzed

  • Number of emails scanned
  • Phishing attempts detected
  • Suspicious emails flagged

Texts Filtered

  • Spam texts caught
  • Messages sent to Held Messages
  • Legitimate texts that passed through

Protection Score

Some reports include an overall protection score showing how well Gini is working for you.

Reading Your Statistics

"Calls Screened: 12"

This means Gini answered 12 calls that you didn't pick up. These could be:

  • Calls you missed
  • Calls you ignored
  • Calls that came when you were busy

"Scam Calls Blocked: 4"

Gini identified 4 of those calls as likely scams. The callers were:

  • Trying to sell you something fraudulent
  • Pretending to be someone they're not
  • Using known scam tactics

"Phishing Emails Detected: 2"

Gini found 2 emails in your inbox that appeared to be phishing attempts trying to steal your information.

"Spam Texts Filtered: 7"

7 text messages were moved to your Held Messages folder instead of appearing in your regular inbox.

What the Numbers Mean

High Numbers

If you see lots of blocked scams:

  • Gini is doing its job
  • Scammers are trying to reach you
  • You're well protected

Low Numbers

If you see few or no threats:

  • You may receive fewer scam attempts
  • Your protection is still active
  • Gini is watching even when there's nothing to catch

Zero Everywhere

Seeing all zeros means:

  • No calls were forwarded to Gini this week, or
  • All calls, emails, and texts were legitimate

Check that call forwarding is still active if you expected more activity.

Taking Action

Based on your report, you might want to:

Review Held Messages

If you see "7 spam texts filtered," check your Held Messages to make sure nothing legitimate was caught.

Check Flagged Emails

If phishing was detected, review those emails in the app to understand the threats.

Adjust Settings

If too many legitimate things are being caught, consider lowering your sensitivity settings.

  1. Go to Settings > Reports or History
