When Gini screens calls for you, it has conversations with callers that are recorded. Here's how we protect these recordings and your privacy.
What Gets Recorded
When a call is forwarded to Gini:
- The screening conversation - Gini's AI talking to the caller
- Caller's responses - What the caller says about who they are and why they're calling
- Timestamps - When the call happened and how long it lasted
What Does NOT Get Recorded
Gini never records:
- Phone calls you answer yourself
- Conversations between you and another person
- Calls from your Allow List (these go straight to you)
- Anything outside of the screening interaction
How Recordings Are Protected
Encryption
All recordings are encrypted:
- In transit - Encrypted when moving between our servers
- At rest - Encrypted when stored
- No one can listen without proper authorization
Access Control
- Only you can access your call recordings
- No Gini employee listens to recordings unless you request support and give permission
- Recordings are tied to your account and protected by your login
